50 Dishes. One Shared Need.

The American Potluck print brings together 50 illustrated dishes, one from every state. Each plate represents a different place, inspired by local culture, history, and tradition. No two recipes are the same, and that diversity is intentional. A potluck only works when everyone brings something different to the table.

Individually, each dish tells its own story.
Together, they highlight a shared need: food.

Across the United States, more than 44 million people experience food insecurity each year.

Children, seniors, and working families are affected in every state represented on this print. Food insecurity exists in rural towns and major cities, in suburbs and on tribal lands. No region is untouched, even if the need often goes unseen.

The dishes on this print celebrate what makes each place distinct, but the table itself represents what we all share. Everyone needs food, and everyone deserves access to it with dignity.

American Potluck exists at the intersection of these truths. It uses creativity to honor culture, print to make the message tangible, and collective action to support neighbors who need help putting meals on the table. This project isn’t about charity as an abstract idea—it’s about meeting a basic human need together, through shared responsibility and care.

Where Care Becomes Action

Every American Potluck print directly supports food access in local communities. One hundred percent of proceeds are donated to No Kid Hungry, a national organization working on the front lines of hunger relief.

No Kid Hungry works to ensure that children across the United States have consistent access to nutritious food. Their efforts focus on connecting families to reliable meal programs—such as school breakfasts and lunches, summer meals, and emergency food assistance—while also supporting local partners and advocating for long-term solutions to hunger. Their work reaches communities nationwide, with a strong emphasis on direct, practical access to meals when and where they’re needed most.

One Table. Many Roles.

Everyone comes to the table with different needs and different resources. Some people are looking for help right now. Others are in a position to give, share information, or support someone else who needs it. American Potluck is built with the understanding that all of those roles matter—and that access to food should never depend on knowing where to look.

That’s where CommUNITY Food comes in.

CommUNITY Food is a free tool designed to help people find food resources in their area. By entering a ZIP code, users can quickly locate nearby food banks, pantries, and meal programs, making it easier to get support or help someone else connect to it. The goal is simple: remove barriers, reduce uncertainty, and make food access easier in moments when it matters most.
